Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. In 30 years, Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County has grown from serving 200 students in two Fort Worth schools to serving more than 35,000 students in 71 schools across 11 school districts.

Hi! My name is Julieana Swayze and I am the CIS Program Manager at Midway Park Elementary. I am a licensed social worker and received my degree from UTA. My favorite thing about working with students is having the opportunity to enhance their perspectives and I am most looking forward to supporting students this school year. I have I have two dogs and my favorite snack is Hot Chips. I can’t wait to meet you and your family!

Mental Health

Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to address the mental health needs of students through one-on-one counseling inside schools. CIS Mental Health Supports eliminates any financial, transportation, or distance barrier that exists.
