In Schools?
Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. In 30 years, Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County has grown from serving 200 students in two Fort Worth schools to serving more than 35,000 students in 71 schools across 11 school districts.

Michelle Guerrero
Hi! My name is Michelle Guerrero and I am the CIS Program Manager at Daggett Middle School . I am a licensed social worker and received my degree from University of Texas at Arlington . My favorite thing about working with students is that everyday is an adventure full of exciting moments. There is never a dull day when working with students. Each day is a great opportunity for me as a social worker to remind the students that they matter and help them show their full potential. This school year I am looking forward to starting my first year as a PM at a new campus and meeting the new students. I’m super excited to join the students on this new journey and provide them with the support and tools they need to be successful. I have 2 dogs which are the total opposite of each other. Layla is a small chihuahua that is constantly full of energy. Yeti on the other hand is my pit bull he loves to have his alone time and not be bothered. My favorite snack is any kind of sweets, chocolate, gummy bears, or any candy. I can’t wait to meet you and your family!

Mental Health
Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to address the mental health needs of students through one-on-one counseling inside schools. CIS Mental Health Supports eliminates any financial, transportation, or distance barrier that exists.
