Better Behavior and Bigger Dreams

CB is an eight grade student CIS began working with last year. She and her brother, another one of my CIS students, were adopted several years ago due to physical and emotional abuse. CB was frequently in trouble for being disrespectful, unprepared and not participatory in class. Over the year, with the support of CIS, these negative behaviors have improved. CB’s teachers and parents even notice her being calmer, more respectful and a better student. After beginning equine therapy, she has become an excellent barrel racer with aspirations of becoming a vet after college. CB is showing more confidence and an increasing ability to control her behavior and attitude.
